aww...

I have been cleaning after myself, but I don't think that it is going to work out for me. My 10 yr. old daughter.

aww...

My eight year old in her sweet angelic voice: -"Mom." -"mmm?" -"I want a little baby brother, so that I may play with him and take care of him." -"uh...I'll have to talk with daddy about that." Two hours later, after their cousin Luke had come to play. (With annoyed-sad voice): -Mommy, I don't want a baby brother anymore, Luke's trying to pull my doll's head off!!

to the unread blog

Everyone who has ever surfed the internet for more than two days a week has created a blog, most blogs are broken dreams of hope, some with great names; like http://morecowbell.blogspot.com/ , but which latest entry dates all the way back to 2002. Others, genius and successful as it is the case of my sister, my only reader and fellow blogger, whom after a year of absence can reach 45 comments on a single post. The sense of accomplishment that comes with carefully selecting subjects to write about, titles, links and images, to publishing and seeing that final product on the web. "That's my work" you think, then the wait, for a miracle, a friend who cares, a bored surfer...nothing for days, months... But the drive to leave a mark somewhere is great, the final answer to the question "If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound" Yes, it will be heard...by the tree. So even if unsung, most neglected and unnoticed, but well wor...

friday again?

Image
First Friday s have come and gone. I take my little there to play all the time and she makes very good money! I am happy that she plays there, her stage presence has grown, she practices religiously every day and has done so for the last 200+ days. I am so proud to see her playing, enjoying herself, making people happy...and she is only 10 yrs. old. I thank Adrina, her first violin teacher, for bringing her there so many years ago. It has not been easy, at the beginning we had asked others to come with us and play, but nobody would, so finally we went alone, I had to bribe her with $10 worth of Creamsicles so that she would start playing. Winter was really cold and rainy, we were there when no one else was. It was all worth it.

how to make worship flags

Image
I have been making flags for worship for several years and I decided to write about how to make flags for worship. The simplest way to make a flag for worship. You will need: Fabric (preferably light and airy) any length Scissors Wooden rod ¾” in diameter (I have found out is the best size) Hot glue Sewing machine with thread matching the color of your fabric Sharpie or permanent marker (optional) Cut the flag to the desired size and sew around the edges, making sure that you pass through the corners several times so they don’t unravel. Sew a “pocket” on one edge about 1 1/2” wide; fold one of the edges of you flag and sew it to make a pocket, by making sure that you close one of the top ends also. Insert the rod in the pocket; glue the end with enough hot glue so the flag doesn't go anywhere. You are done! I like to use the “pocket” method of attachment because in case the rod breaks is a lot easier to unglue a little portion of the fabric than the whole thing, plus some fabrics...

TGIF

“ T hose who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.” Jesus Christ, Mark 2:17 We have come to love "First Friday" (FF), you can never expect it to be the same, sometimes is very peaceful (as peaceful as a FF can be), sometimes is chaotic, this FF was the former. With a mixture of groups like lesbians, homosexuals, atheists, polite and not so polite, satanists, goths, agnostics, hippies and punks, sometimes with one group more predominant throughout the night, which makes it the most varied place to ever witness, is rough, and you need to be prayed up, and trust that God will give the words to speak, for believe they will challenge you. This last FF while we were praying I saw the Jesus Flag raised upon the gateway of the place. When we got there our company got delayed for about 30min, so Alex , Valerie and I were standing at what the Lord had previously showed us was the gate to the ...
